The main association that runs the Cricket at professional level is the International Cricket Council (International Cricket Council or ICC, for its acronym in English), an association that brings together 97 national federations, with which organizes both the CRICKET WORLD CUP, the ICC CHAMPIONS TROPHY and the ICC WORLD TWENTY20, being the Cricket World Cup (as I said in my last note) the fourth largest sporting event in the world at the level of international audience rating after the World Cup, the Olympic Games and the Rugby World Cup, measured by the number of audiovisual media it concentrates, as well as by the number of spectators attending or televising the competition (2,200 million people only for 2007, a figure that was doubled for the contest held in the subcontinent Indian (Sri Lanka,Pakistan and India, in 2011).
